Floor gratings

ACCESSORIES

Steel expanded gratings for flooring have to be fixed to a support structure to prevent their rising or sliding off.

To do this, use standard stainless steel or galvanised dowel pins. Ladders cleats have round raised holes to ensure non-slip surface.

Fastening piece

Fastening piece consists of four parts:

Top part – disc (“butterfly”, clamp)

Bottom part – moulded metal piece 

M8 machine screw –60, 70, 80 mm long

M8 square nut

The disc – is the top part of the fastening piece without a washer and a nut. The disc diameter is 53 mm and it can be used for 30 x 30 mm mesh, the suitable nut is M8.

All the parts are hot-dip galvanised in harmony with ISO 1461.

Fastening pieces are assembled for delivery.

Select screw length according to the height of the grating load-bearing bar.

Application for gratings

This type of fastening pieces can be used for pressure-locked gratings as well as for SP welded gratings with mesh sizes of 33 x 33 mm and 34.3 x 38.1 mm. 


Our recommendation is to use at least four fastening pieces to hold the grating in position.

Ladder cleats

As a standard we manufacture different lengths of ladders from steel.

Single-row ladder cleats:

Material: steel – without surface finish, 2 mm thickness
Length: 500 mm 
Width: 35 mm 
Weight: 0.80 kg

Double-row ladder cleats:

Material: steel – without surface finish, 2 mm thickness 
Length: 485 mm 
Width: 50 mm 
Weight: 0.96 kg

Stepping edge

As a standard, safety stepping edges (nosing) are fitted on stair treads and gratings to provide non-slip protection. Nosing is welded onto the edge of the grating or tread and makes the product more stable. It is made in steel – raw, without any surface finish.

Commonly produced items are designed for technical purposes.  Technical delivery conditions are based on our experience with deliveries of perforated materials. Please, read them. We have a great variety of production tools to help us readily accommodate to all your requirements. If none of our tools is good for you, we will make a new one in our tool shop as needed.
